Crock Pot Beef Stew

When it comes to a delicious home-style dish, let this recipe for crock pot beef stew do the work. Serve this beef stew made in a crock with warm corn bread and a tossed salad for a complete meal.

  • 2 pounds stew beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 envelope brown gravy mix
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 cups water

Spray the crock pot with a vegetable cooking spray (like PAM). Place the vegetables in the crock pot. Top with the beef. Mix the water, brown gravy mix and onion soup mix. Pour mixture over the beef. Cover and cook on low for 9 - 10 hours or until the vegetables are tender.

Serves 8 - 10
