Crock Pot Beef Round Steak With Mushrooms
This crock pot beef round steak recipe is loaded with homemade taste. Serve with hot mashed
potatoes and a green vegetable for a healthy and filling meal.
- 1 pound boneless beef round steak, cut 1 inch thick
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 2 - 4 1/2-ounce jars whole mushrooms, drained
- 1 - 12-ounce jar beef gravy
- 1/4 cup dry red wine or apple juice or water
Trim fat from the meat; Cut meat into 4 serving-size pieces. In a 3 1/2 - 4 quart crock pot place the onion
slices. Arrange mushrooms over the onions; add beef. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over the
beef.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.
Serve with hot mashed potatoes -- I use Yoders or Bob Evans in the refrigerated section. You can warm them
in the microwave for 6 or 7 minutes. Not as good as homemade but pretty good when you are in a hurry!
