Sweet and Savory Slow Cooker Pork Ribs

Love barbecued ribs but don't want to fire up the grill?  Let your slow cooker do the work for you!  This slow cooker pork recipe produces tender, juicy and flavorful barbecue ribs.  Feel free to adjust the sauce ingredients in this easy slow cooker recipe to suit your family's taste.

  • 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 2 - 1/2 to 3 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs
  • 1 bottle (18 ounces) honey barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Place the onion rings in a 5 quart slow cooker.  Top with the ribs. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl; pour over the ribs. Cover and cook on low for 8 - 9 hours or until meat is tender.

 

Serves 6 - 8
